In 1984 Ron was appointed Queen’s Counsel and in 2002, he received a Master of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto in the field of E-Business Law.
Ron Scott has been providing a broad range of legal services to clients since 1973. He attended the University of Ottawa Law School where he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree. Ron practices in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, wills and estates, business law and family law.
He has successfully represented thousands of Ottawa area buyers and sellers with their real estate transactions during his years of practice. His attention to detail and extensive experience in this area of practice and his dedication to providing exceptional service to his clients results in many referrals from satisfied clients and real estate professionals. Ron has represented most of the major lending institutions in the placing of mortgages and other debt financing and has represented the Province of Ontario in a major land assembly.
He has represented a wide range of businesses and incorporated many Federal and Provincial corporations as well as not-for-profit corporations. Mr. Scott has handled many business acquisitions and sales and has advised a wide range of clients on franchising, corporate financing and corporate restructuring. He has been called upon to make presentations to several financial planning groups and professional organizations and has participated in many retirement and home buying seminars.
In the area of estate administration, Ron has assisted numerous families in assuring a considerate and timely handling of their estate matters. He has drafted wills for numerous clients and been called upon by estate trustees to advise and assist them in fulfilling the obligations assumed by them as a result of their appointment as Estate Trustee.
Ron is an active volunteer in the community. He has served on the Foundation Board of the Queensway-Carleton Hospital and as President of the Board of Directors of the Good Companions Senior Centre. He is a current member, and past-President, of the Rotary Club of West-Ottawa.

Paul obtained his Bachelors of Law degree from Dalhousie University in 1976 and In 2013 Paul received his Juris Doctor from the same university.
Paul’s preferred areas of practice are real estate, wills, estates, corporate and family law. Paul excels in his duty to provide his clients with the best service possible. Paul prides himself on personal service to his clients which is reflected in his commitment that no phone call will go unanswered.
Paul obtained his Bachelors of Law degree from Dalhousie University in 1976 and has been providing legal services in the greater Ottawa Region since then. In 2013 Paul received his Juris Doctor from the same university.

Andy attended carleton university earning a bachelor of arts degree with a major in law, before attending the university of ottawa law school where he graduated with a bachelor of laws degree in 2004.
Andy was called to the Ontario bar in 2005 and articled and practiced for over five years at the international firm of Gowling WLG mainly in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and franchising before joining Kelly Santini LLP and Octagon Sports in 2009 to pursue an athlete representation practice. In 2015, Andy formed Scott Coulson + Scott and was promoted within Octagon Sports.
Andy has been certified as a player agent with the National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA) since 2009 and has developed a deep understanding of the National Hockey League (NHL) collective bargaining agreement. He and his partner together represent some of the top players in the NHL including Leon Draisaitl, Mark Scheifele, Patrik Laine, Mikko Rantanen, Matt Murray, Rasmus Ristolainen, Marc Methot, Calvin de Haan, Jakob Chychrun and many more. Andy has also represented a first round NHL drafted player in each of the past six NHL entry drafts. In his work as a hockey agent, Andy has negotiated many significant contracts and a vast number of endorsements. Andy has also taught the Sports Law class at the University of Ottawa Law School and recently received the Ottawa Business Journal’s Top 40 Under Forty Award.
As a business lawyer, Andy has also been involved in negotiating over one hundred M&A transactions ranging from the recent sale of a local business for $6.5 million, to the sale of a public company for $275 million. Andy has also practiced franchise law since being called to the bar in 2005 and he has assisted franchisors with preparing disclosure documents and general advice relating to their franchise systems, negotiating franchise agreements and providing advice to franchisee associations.
Andy is very involved in the community. He currently serves as Co-Chair of Martini Madness, an annual fundraiser which supports Crohns and Colitis Canada which has raised over $400,000 to help find a cure for colitis and crohns disease. Andy is also a member of the Sports Lawyers Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association.
Patrick joined scott Coulson + scott in 2018 after practicing for four years at one of the largest local firms in ottawa.
Prior to obtaining his JD from the University of Ottawa, Patrick completed his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Lake Superior University in Michigan. He has been involved in numerous real estate transactions including commercial and residential purchases and sales as well as lending transactions. Patrick’s wills and estates experience includes providing estate planning advice to his clients as well as providing advice to clients with respect to the administration of an estate. Patrick also has experience in commercial leasing and franchising.
Patrick is fluently bilingual and practices law in both French and English.
